​Dr. Dmitri Aleksenko is a Neurologist sub-specializing in Headache Medicine who completed his Neurology Residency in the United States at Ochsner LSU Health along with an Internal Medicine Internship at University at Buffalo and a Headache Medicine Fellowship at the University of Rochester in New York. Dr. Aleksenko graduated from St. George's University School of Medicine and has an Hons. Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health Science from York University.

Dr. Aleksenko believes that in addition to pharmacotherapy, lifestyle assessment and optimization (including integration of healthy diet, exercise, proper sleep habits and stress reduction) are important components in managing a variety of neurological conditions including headaches, and often yield the best long-term results.

​

At the Etobicoke Headache Clinic, Dr. Aleksenko offers evaluation and management of different headache related disorders. The goal of controlling headache involves identifying and eliminating headache triggers, finding an effective headache abortive rescue treatment and focusing on reduction of an overall headache burden through non-pharmacological and if necessary pharmacological means. Dr. Aleksenko is proficient in therapeutic Botox treatment reserved for chronic migraine sufferers. Those who are experiencing myofascial pain can benefit from a course of trigger point injections.

Born in Tallinn, Estonia, Dr. Aleksenko grew up in Toronto and has spent 13 years training and practicing in the United States. In 2023, he relocated back to Canada where he resides with his wife and daughter in Etobicoke.

Marianna Aleksenko's professional background combines experience in the fields of Human Resources Management and Public Relations in a variety of settings including Healthcare, Women's Development and Professional Services Firms. She brings with her experience working for organizations such as Parkinson Society Canada, The Canadian Women's Foundation, B+H Architects and as part of the Health Team at Edelman Public Relations.

Marianna graduated with an Hons. Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science from the University of Toronto, and earned both Public Relations and Human Resources Management Postgraduate Certificates from Humber College. 

​

Marianna grew up in Toronto and now resides in Etobicoke with her husband and daughter. She is looking forward to opening the doors of the Etobicoke Headache Clinic and to working with Dr. Aleksenko to provide exceptional care for those suffering with headaches.
